Hello there! I'm Emma Davies, the creator behind Throwback Threads.

I've always been inspired by the breathtaking views of Northeast England, and I've translated that inspiration into stunning fibre artworks. My mixed textile style has been developed through observing the dramatic play of light and shadows in the landscape, and how they evoke different moods and emotions.

I'm passionate about sustainability, and I champion this ethos in my art practice. By sourcing textures and colors from deconstructed fabric remnants and locally-sourced wool, I've been able to infuse a depth and richness into my work while promoting a sustainable art form.

In 2023, I had the honor of competing in Landscape Artist of the Year, which was a truly enriching experience. My journey as an artist has been incredibly fulfilling, and I'm excited to continue exploring and expressing the beauty of the natural world through my art.
