Whitby Abbey - Calm Summer Day
The ruins of Whitby Abbey are among the most celebrated sights of North Yorkshire. Perched high on a cliff, it's easy to see why the haunting remains of Whitby Abbey were inspiration for Bram Stoker's gothic tale of 'Dracula.
Using my mixed fibre medium, I have used wool to bring this landscape to life creating captivating textures, bold colour profiles and dramatic shadows.
I have captured this landmark in 3 compositions– Sunrise, Lilac sky and Calm Summer Day.
